Most of the pictures from a photographer, or on in the internet, are in RGB.<br \/>The reason that it is recommended to change from RGB to CMYK, is to be able to manage and see the colors, on the screen, that will come out in printing.<\/p>\n<p>That said, one should be aware that this can vary. <br \/>The pictures we receive in RGB are converted to ISO Standard 12647-2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pantone coloring<\/strong> is what the printer will simulate, so that it will be reproduced in the best possible way with use of CMYK-coloring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black<\/strong> text or line drawings among others, are only to be made in 100% black, whereas black covering layers get the best result if you choose C=60 M=40 Y=40 K=100.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Sk%C3%A6rmbillede-2019-04-05-kl.-11.55.52.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"printHeaders\">\n<style> .printHeaders {color: #C2006B;}<\/style>\n<p>File types<\/h2>\n<p><strong>PDF<\/strong> is the file format, we'd very much prefer to receive.<br \/>The reason for this, is that when you save a PDF-file on a computer, a package of all the components and composites, that are included in the design process, is made.<\/p>\n<p>This means that all the information regarding colors, fonts, font sizes, line height, and all the other details, is saved in the PDF - and when you send it to us, we also have that information!<br \/>This also explains the name of the PDF: <strong>Portable Document Format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fonts and colors<\/strong> has to be embedded in the PDF. This way, it'll cause less problems down the line, since we wont have to track down something which wasn't received initially.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/DSC_5148_1-kopi.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"printHeaders\">\n<style> .printHeaders {color: #C2006B;}<\/style>\n<p>Cropping and die cut<\/h2>\n<p><strong>3mm<\/strong> for cropping is always important, when making files for printing.<\/p>\n<p>The die cut forms has to be in a <strong>spot color<\/strong>, which are named \"stans\" or \"cutter\". The same goes for bending lines, which are named \"bend\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>White surfaces<\/strong> or <strong>lacque<\/strong> are likewise made in spot colors, and as such named \"white\" or \"lacque\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be aware!<\/strong> Remember the above spot colors for \"overprint\" - this way, the lines won't be brought on to the print itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/prepresswithnoear_0.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<h2 class=\"printHeaders\">\n<style> .printHeaders {color: #C2006B;}<\/style>\n<p>Resolution<\/h2>\n<p>DPI stands for \"dots per inch\", which means that the more DPI there is in an image, the more detailed it'll be.
